Discussion
WebKit CVE-2013-0962 Cross Site Scripting Vulnerability
WebKit is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because it fails to sanitize user-supplied input.
An attacker may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may allow the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks.
Note: This issue was previously covered in BID 57572 (Apple iPhone/iPad/iPod touch Prior to iOS 6.1 Multiple Vulnerabilities), but has been given its own record to better document it.
