Backup for Workgroups is prone to a stack-based buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to adequately bounds-check user-supplied input.

Attackers can leverage this issue to execute arbitrary code in the context of the application. Failed attacks will cause denial-of-service conditions.

Backup for Workgroups 6.0.3 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
