Discussion

Apple iPhone Lock Screen Security Bypass Vulnerability

The Apple iPhone is prone to a security-bypass vulnerability due to a failure to restrict access to locked devices.

An attacker with physical access to a locked device can leverage this issue to bypass the lock screen and gain access to the phone application.

An Apple iPhone 5 running iOS versions 6.0.1, 6.0.2, and 6.1 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
