Drupal Varnish HTTP Accelerator Integration Module Cross Site Scripting Vulnerability

The Varnish HTTP Accelerator Integration module for Drupal is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied text.

An attacker may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This may help the attacker steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks.

The following versions are affected:

Varnish HTTP Accelerator Integration 6.x-1.x versions prior to 6.x-1.2.
Varnish HTTP Accelerator Integration 7.x-1.x versions prior to 7.x-1.2.
