Discussion

Xen 'xc_vcpu_setaffinity()' Function Buffer Overflow Vulnerability

Xen is prone to a buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to perform adequate boundary checks on the user-supplied data.

An attacker with access to a guest operating system can exploit this issue to crash the host operating system, effectively denying service to legitimate users. Due to the nature of this issue, arbitrary code-execution with elevated privileges is also possible.
