Apple Mac OS X CVE-2013-0975 Remote Buffer Overflow Vulnerability

Apple Mac OS X is prone to a remote buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to properly bounds check user-supplied data.

Attackers can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code or cause denial-of-service conditions.

Note: This issue was previously covered in BID 60329 (Apple Mac OS X Security Update 2013-002 Multiple Security Vulnerabilities), but has been given its own record to better document it.
