Discussion

Wireshark NBAP Dissector Multiple Denial of Service Vulnerabilities

Wireshark is prone to multiple denial-of-service vulnerabilities.

An attacker can leverage these issues to crash the affected application, denying service to legitimate users.

Note: These issues was previously discussed in BID 60448 (Wireshark Multiple Buffer Overflow and Denial of Service), but has been moved to its own record for better documentation.

Wireshark versions 1.8.0 through 1.8.7 are vulnerable.
