SmokePing 'displaymode' Parameter CVE-2013-4158 Incomplete Fix Cross Site Scripting Vulnerability

SmokePing is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input before using it in dynamically generated content.

An attacker may leverage this issue to execute arbitrary script code in the browser of an unsuspecting user in the context of the affected site. This can allow the attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials and launch other attacks.

Note: This issue is the result of an incomplete fix for the issue described in BID 51584 (SmokePing 'displaymode' Parameter Cross Site Scripting Vulnerability).
