Photo Server Arbitrary File Upload and Command Injection Vulnerabilities
Photo Server is prone to an arbitrary file-upload vulnerability and a command-injection vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input.
A remote attacker can exploit these issues to execute arbitrary commands with the privileges of the user running the application, obtain potentially sensitive information, and execute arbitrary script code in the context of the web server process. This could allow the attacker to compromise the application and the computer; other attacks are also possible.
The following versions are affected:
Photo Server 2.0 for iPad
Photo Server 2.0 for iPhone
Photo Server is prone to an arbitrary file-upload vulnerability and a command-injection vulnerability because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input.
A remote attacker can exploit these issues to execute arbitrary commands with the privileges of the user running the application, obtain potentially sensitive information, and execute arbitrary script code in the context of the web server process.
