Discussion

YUI CVE-2013-4939 Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

YUI is prone to a cross-site scripting vulnerability because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied input.

Exploiting this issue could allow an attacker to steal cookie-based authentication credentials, compromise the application, access or modify data, or exploit latent vulnerabilities in the underlying database.

Note: This issue was previously covered in BID 61177 (YUI Multiple Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerabilities), but has been moved to its own record for better documentation.

YUI 3.0.0 through version 3.9.1 are vulnerable.
