Discussion
WellinTech KingView ActiveX Controls Multiple Insecure Method Vulnerabilities
WellinTech KingView is prone to multiple insecure-method vulnerabilities because it fails to properly sanitize user-supplied input.
Successfully exploiting this issue allows remote attackers to overwrite arbitrary files using directory-traversal sequences in the context of the application (typically Internet Explorer) that is using the ActiveX control.
KingView 6.53 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
