A bug has been discovered in akfingerd that allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service. By connecting to the daemon via finger it is possible to deny access to other legitimate users.
It should be noted that this vulnerability was discovered in akfingerd 0.5. It is not yet known whether earlier versions are affected.
