Hyperion FTP Server Buffer Overflow Vulnerability

A vulnerability has been discovered in Hyperion FTP Server. A remote attacker is able to trigger this issue by overflowing a buffer in the vulnerable server. By overwriting the programs instruction pointer it may be possible for the attacker to execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the server process.

It should be noted that this vulnerability was discovered in version 2.8.11 of Hyperion FTP Server. It is not yet known whether this issue affects earlier versions.
