Pidgin CVE-2013-6486 Incomplete Fix Remote Code Execution Vulnerability

Pidgin is prone to a remote code-execution vulnerability.

An attacker can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code with the privileges of the user or to crash the application.

Note: This issue exists due to an incomplete fix for CVE-2011-3185 (identified in BID 49268 - Pidgin Denial of Service and Security Bypass Vulnerabilities).

Pidgin 2.10.7 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
