haneWIN DNS Server Buffer Overflow Vulnerability

haneWIN DNS Server is prone to a buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to perform adequate boundary-checks on user-supplied data.

Attackers can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code within the context of the application. Failed attacks may cause a denial-of-service condition.

haneWIN DNS Server 1.5.3 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
