Discussion
VFU Stack Buffer Overflow Vulnerability
VFU is prone to a stack-based buffer-overflow vulnerability because it fails to perform adequate boundary-checks on user-supplied input.
An attacker can exploit this issue to execute arbitrary code in the context of the application. Failed exploit attempts will result in a denial-of-service condition.
VFU 4.10-1.1 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
