Discussion
OpenEMR Multiple Input Validation Vulnerabilities
OpenEMR is prone to multiple SQL-injection vulnerabilities, a cross-site scripting vulnerability and an HTML-injection vulnerability because it fails to sufficiently sanitize user-supplied input.
Exploiting these issues could allow an attacker to execute HTML and script code, steal cookie-based authentication credentials, compromise the application, access or modify data, or exploit latent vulnerabilities in the underlying database.
OpenEMR 4.2.0 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected.
