PHPGroupWare Calendar Module Server Side Script Execution Vulnerability

It has been reported that PHPGroupWare may be prone to a vulnerability that may allow remote attackers to execute malicious scripts on a vulnerable system. It has been reported that an attacker may be able to place server side scripts in directories that could be accessed and executed later.

Successful exploitation of this issue may allow an attacker to execute malicious script code on a vulnerable server.

PHPGroupWare versions 0.9.14.006, 0.9.16 RC1, and prior may be prone to this issue.

Solution / Fix

PHPGroupWare Calendar Module Server Side Script Execution Vulnerability

Solution:
The vendor has released version 0.9.14.007 of the software to address this and other issues. Users are also advised to download a fixed version of the RC1 release from the vendor.
