XFree86 is prone to a denial of service condition. X server clients using the GLX extension and Direct Rendering Infrastructure may cause a denial of service on the server due to insufficient bounds checking.

Debian has released an advisory (DSA 443-1) and fixes to address this issue. See the referenced advisory for fix information.

Conectiva has released advisory CLSA-2004:824 and fixes for their Enterprise Linux distribution.
