QID 150530: WordPress GDPR Cookie Consent Plugin: Improper Access Controls Vulnerability (CVE-2020-20633)

GDPR Cookie Consent is a plugin providing site owners with the functionality to present an unintrusive modal to allow end users of the site to review and consent to receiving that sites cookies.

Improper Access Controls issue in the cli_policy_generator AJAX call which could allow an authenticated user with low privileges (such as a subscriber) to:
1. Change the status of any post/page from published to draft, removing them from the frontend of the blog.
2. Put a payload in the content of one of them, leading to Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) issues.

Affected Versions:
WordPress GDPR Cookie Consent Plugin before 1.8.3.

QID Detection Logic:
This QID sends a HTTP GET request and checks for vulnerable version of WordPress plugin running on the target application.

Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary JavaScript code in the context of the interface or allow the attacker to access sensitive, browser-based information or change the status of any post/page.
