QID 150641: Cacti Unauthenticated Command Injection Vulnerability (CVE-2022-46169)

Cacti is an open-source, web-based network monitoring and graphing tool designed as a front-end application for the open-source, industry-standard data logging tool RRDtool.

In affected versions of Cacti, a command injection vulnerability allows an unauthenticated user to execute arbitrary code on a server, if a specific data source was selected for any monitored device.

Affected Versions:
Cacti prior to version 1.2.23

QID Detection Logic:
This QID sends a HTTP GET request and checks for vulnerable version of Cacti application running on the target server.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.

  • Solution
