Adobe ColdFusion is an application for developing Web sites.

Multiple vulnerabilities exists in Adobe ColdFusion which could result in Arbitrary Code Execution.

Affected Products:
ColdFusion (2021 release) Update 5 and earlier versions.
ColdFusion (2018 release) Update 15 and earlier versions.

QID Detection Logic (Unauthenticated):
This QID sends HTTP POST request to CFC files such as "ChannelListener.cfc, filemanager.cfc, iedit.cfc" with specially crafted payload data and tries to retrieve contents of "/etc/passwd" or "Windows/System32/drivers/etc/hosts" files and based on the response confirms the detection.

Note: This QID does not exploit complete RCE vulnerability as the attack floods "coldfusion-out.log" file with arbitary code, instead it confirms the vulnerability by exploiting a part of the attack.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow an unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
