QID 150699: WordPress Ninja Forms Plugin: Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability (CVE-2023-37979)

Ninja Forms is a free form builder plugin for WordPress, it provides users the ability to create custom forms using drag and drop capabilities.

A POST-based reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) flaw that could allow any unauthenticated user to achieve privilege escalation on a target WordPress site by tricking privileged users to visit a specially crafted website.

Affected versions:
Ninja Forms plugin prior to 3.6.26

QID Detection Logic :
This QID sends an HTTP GET request and retrieves a vulnerable version of a plugin running on the target application.

Successful exploitation could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary JavaScript code in the context of the interface or allow the attacker to access sensitive, browser-based information.
