QID 150719: PaperCut NG/MF Path Traversal Vulnerability (CVE-2023-39143)

PaperCut NG/MF is a comprehensive print management system designed to seamlessly monitor and control your resources with easy to use administrative and user tools that can be securely accessed from anywhere on the network though a web browser.

Multiple versions of PaperCut NG/MF running on Windows are affected by Path Traversal vulnerability which could further lead to Remote Code Execution (RCE).

Affected Products:
PaperCut NG/MF prior to version 22.1.3

QID Detection Logic (Unauthenticated):
This QID sends HTTP GET request and tries to fetch "home-app.png" using specially crafted Path Traversal payload and based on the response determines if the host is vulnerable

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow an unauthenticated attacker to access upload, read, or delete arbitrary files and leads to Remote Code Execution (RCE) when external device integration configuration is enabled.
