QID 150721: PaperCut NG/MF Remote Code Execution (RCE) Vulnerability (CVE-2023-27350)

PaperCut NG/MF is a comprehensive print management system designed to seamlessly monitor and control your resources with easy to use administrative and user tools that can be securely accessed from anywhere on the network though a web browser.

In Multiple versions of PaperCut NG/MF a specific flaw exists within the SetupCompleted class allowing remote attackers to bypass authentication and execute arbitrary code in the context of SYSTEM.

Affected Products:
PaperCut NG/MF version from 8.0.0 prior to 20.1.7
PaperCut NG/MF version from 21.0.0 prior to 21.2.11
PaperCut NG/MF version from 22.0.0 prior to 22.0.9

QID Detection Logic (Unauthenticated):
This QID sends HTTP GET request to "app?service=page/SetupCompleted" endpoint followed up by another GET request to "app?service=page/About" endpoint thereby testing Authentication bypass and based on the response determines if the host is vulnerable.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow an unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
