QID 150763: WordPress Backup Migration Plugin: Unauthenticated Remote Code Execution Vulnerability (CVE-2023-6553)

This WordPress migrator plugin lets you migrate your WordPress site between any hosts or domains.

The Backup Migration plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution via the /includes/backup-heart.php file. This is due to an attacker being able to control the values passed to an include, and subsequently leverage that to achieve remote code execution. This makes it possible for unauthenticated threat actors to easily execute code on the server.

Affected Versions:
WordPress The Backup Migration Plugin before 1.3.8.

QID Detection Logic:
This QID sends a HTTP GET request and checks for vulnerable version of WordPress plugin running on the target application.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow a remote attacker to run arbitrary shell commands on the target system.
