QID 150849: WordPress Ultimate Member Plugin: Unauthenticated Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability (CVE-2024-2123)

Ultimate Member is a free user profile WordPress plugin that makes it easy to create powerful online communities and membership sites with WordPress.

The Ultimate Member plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the several parameters due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Affected Versions:
WordPress Ultimate Member Plugin before 2.8.4

QID Detection Logic:
This QID sends a HTTP GET request and checks for vulnerable version of WordPress plugin running on the target application.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow an unauthenticated attacker to inject arbitrary JavaScript code in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
