QID 20414: IBM DB2 Denial of Service (DoS) Vulnerability (7145722)

BM Db2 is the cloud-native database built to power low-latency transactions and real-time analytics at scale.

CVE-2023-52296: It is vulnerable to denial of service when querying a specific UDF built-in function concurrently.

Affected Versions:
IBM DB2 11.5 prior to special build version 11.5.8

Prior to Special Build version V11.5.9

QID Detection Logic:
Authenticated (DB2):
This QID queries the DB2 server to get the server version and fix the pack level and checks to see if it's vulnerable.

Authenticated (Windows):
This QID checks for vulnerable versions of DB2 on windows OS

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in Denial of service.

CVSS V3 rated as Medium - 5.3 severity.

CVSS V2 rated as Medium - 4.9 severity.
