QID 316963: Cisco Firepower Device Manager On-Box Software XML External Entity Vulnerability(cisco-sa-fdm-xxe-zR7sxPfs)

A vulnerability in the REST API of Cisco Firepower Device Manager (FDM) On-Box Software could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to gain read and write access to information that is stored on an affected device.

Affected Products
Cisco FDM On-Box Software releases:
Prior to 6.5.0.5
From 6.6.0 Prior to 6.6.3
Note: The First Fixed Release for the 6.6.0 code train was 6.6.3; however, due to upgrade issues
associated with CSCvx86231 the recommended release is 6.6.4.

QID detection logic:
The QID checks for Cisco FTD version retrieved via Unix Auth using "show version" command.

A successful exploit could allow the attacker to retrieve files from the local system,
resulting in the disclosure of sensitive information or causing a partial denial of service (DoS) condition on the affected device.
