A vulnerability in the Internet Security Association and Key Management Protocol (ISAKMP) implementation
in Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software could allow an unauthenticated,
remote attacker to enumerate remote access VPN groups configured in a Cisco ASA device.
According to BugID CSCue73708
Cisco ASA Software is affected by a group name enumeration vulnerability because of
a difference in the way it responds to correct and incorrect group names sent in the initial exchange packet when
Aggressive Mode is used for IKE version 1 phase 1.
Affected Products
Cisco ASA Software versions 9.1.2 and prior were vulnerable if aggressive mode is used. Aggressive mode is used for IKE version 1 phase 1. Main Mode does not
have this vulnerability.
Note: Potential detection as cannot check Aggressive mode is enabled.
QID Detection Logic (Authenticated):
The check matches Cisco ASA OS version retrieved via Unix Auth using "version" command.
