QID 317323: Cisco Small Business Series (Smart, Managed and Stackable) Switches Multiple Vulnerabilities (cisco-sa-sg-web-multi-S9g4Nkgv)

Multiple vulnerabilities in the web-based user interface of certain Cisco Small Business Series Switches could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition or execute arbitrary code with root privileges on an affected device. These vulnerabilities are due to improper validation of requests that are sent to the web interface.

Affected Products
250 Series Smart Switches
350 Series Managed Switches
350X Series Stackable Managed Switches
550X Series Stackable Managed Switches
Vulnerable Version:
Prior to version 2.5.9.16
Note: This is a potential check as the device model cannot be confirmed.

QID Detection Logic (Unauthenticated):
The unauthenticated check tries to fetch the Cisco Smart Switch vulnerable version in response to GET request to an API, but not the model number.

Successful exploitation could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition or execute arbitrary code with root privileges on an affected device.
