QID 375732: Adobe Audition Arbitrary Code Execution Vulnerability (APSB21-62)

Adobe has released an update for Adobe Audition for Windows and macOS. This update resolves a moderate our-of-bounds read vulnerability that can lead to arbitrary code execution. Affected versions:
Adobe Audition 14.2 and earlier versions

QID Detection Logic(Auth):
This QID checks the Windows registry to see if Adobe Audition is installed. If found, it checks if the installed versions is vulnerable.

Successful exploitation allows arbitrary code execution.

  • Solution

    Adobe has released fix in version 14.4 to address this issue. Customers are advised to refer to ASPB21-62 for updates pertaining to this vulnerability.
