QID 376406: Adobe ColdFusion advisory for Apache Log4j Vulnerability (Log4Shell)

Adobe ColdFusion is an application for developing Web sites.
Adobe has released security updates for ColdFusion versions 2021 and 2018. There is a critical security vulnerability (CVE-2021-44228) in the Log4j, which is a popular logging library for Java-based applications. The vulnerability also impacts Adobe ColdFusion.

ColdFusion (2021 release) Update 3 addresses vulnerabilities that are mentioned in CVE-2021-44228 and CVE-2021-45046.
ColdFusion (2018 release) Update 13 addresses vulnerabilities that are mentioned in CVE-2021-44228 and CVE-2021-45046.

An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability can compromise confidentiality, integrity and availability of the system. Even though Adobe ColdFusion uses this library, we did not find any exploitable attack vector or mechanism with Adobe ColdFusion.
