QID 376467: F5 BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM) Transparent Domain Name System (DNS) Cache Vulnerability (K41415626)

When transparent Domain Name System (DNS) cache is configured on a virtual server, undisclosed Extension Mechanisms for DNS (EDNS0) queries can cause the BIG-IP system to send a large volume of User Datagram Protocol (UDP) traffic on the server side.

This QID checks for the vulnerable versions of F5 BIG-IP devices using the tmsh command.

This can cause the BIG-IP system to send a large volume of UDP traffic to the server side.
