VRealize Log Insight is a log collection and analytics virtual appliance that enables administrators to collect, view, manage and analyze syslog data.

VMware vRealize Log Insight version prior to 8.1.0 build 18457068
VMware vRealize Log Insight version prior to 8.2.0 build 18430722
VMware vRealize Log Insight version prior to 8.3.0 build 18430451

QID Detection Logic(Authenticated):
This QID checks for vulnerable versions of VMware vRealize Log Insight Automation.

An attacker with user privileges may be able to inject a malicious payload via the Log Insight UI which would be executed when the victim accesses the shared dashboard link.

CVSS V3 rated as Medium - 5.4 severity.

CVSS V2 rated as Medium - 3.5 severity.

Solution
