QID 376970: Zoom Client for Meetings Server Side Request Forgery (SSRF) Vulnerability (ZSB-21021)

Zoom provides video communications with a cloud platform for video and audio conferencing, chat, and webinars across mobile, desktop, and room systems.

CVE-2021-34425: The Zoom Client for Meetings before version 5.7.3 contain a server side request forgery vulnerability in the chat's "link preview" functionality.

Affected Versions:
Zoom Client for Meetings before version 5.7.3

This authenticated QID detects vulnerable Zoom Client prior to version 5.7.3

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow an attacker to trick the user into potentially sending arbitrary HTTP GET requests to URLs that the actor cannot reach directly.

CVSS V3 rated as High - 6.1 severity.

CVSS V2 rated as Medium - 4 severity.

Solution

Customers are advised to upgrade to Zoom Client 5.7.3 or later to remediate these vulnerabilities.
