Zoom Rooms is a software-based room system that provides an integrated experience for audio conferencing, wireless screen sharing, and video conferencing.

Zoom Rooms for macOS clients before version 5.11.3 contain a local privilege escalation vulnerability.

Affected Versions:
Zoom Rooms for macOS prior to version 5.11.3

MacOS: Checks for installed vulnerable version of Zoom Rooms.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a local low-privileged user could exploit this vulnerability to escalate their privileges to root.

Solution

Customers are advised to upgrade to Zoom Rooms 5.11.3 or later to remediate these vulnerabilities.
