Zoom Rooms is a software-based room system that provides an integrated experience for audio conferencing, wireless screen sharing, and video conferencing.

Zoom Rooms for macOS clients before version 5.11.4 contain an insecure key generation mechanism. Affected Versions:
Zoom Rooms for macOS prior to version 5.11.4

MacOS: Checks for installed vulnerable version of Zoom Rooms.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow an attacker to interact with the daemon service to execute privileged functions and cause a local denial of service.

CVSS V3 rated as High - 7.8 severity.

CVSS V2 rated as Medium - 3.2 severity.

Solution

Customers are advised to upgrade to Zoom Rooms 5.11.4 or later to remediate these vulnerabilities.
