QID 378717: Zoom Client Improper Input Validation Vulnerability (ZSB-23018)

Zoom provides video communications with a cloud platform for video and audio conferencing, chat, and webinars across mobile, desktop, and room systems.

Improper input validation in the Zoom Desktop Client for Windows before version 5.15.0 may allow an unauthorized user to enable an escalation of privilege via network access.

Affected Versions:
Zoom for Windows clients before version 5.15.0 QID Detection Logic (Authenticated):
This authenticated QID detects vulnerable Zoom Client prior to version 5.15.0(Windows)

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow a remote attacker to enable an escalation of privilege via network access.

CVSS V3 rated as Critical - 8.8 severity.

CVSS V2 rated as Critical - 8.5 severity.

Solution

Customers are advised to upgrade to Zoom Rooms 5.15.0 or later to remediate these vulnerabilities.
