QID 379441: Santesoft Sante DICOM Viewer Pro Arbitrary Code Execution Vulnerability

Sante DICOM Viewer Pro is a professional DICOM viewer, anonymizer, converter, PACS client, mini PACS server, patient CD/DVD burner (with viewer) and much more.
Santesoft has reported a vulnerability in their DICOM Viewer Pro product that could allow an attacker with network access to disclose confidential information or execute arbitrary code.

CVE-2024-1453: In Sante DICOM Viewer Pro versions 14.0.3 and prior, a user must open a malicious DICOM file, which could allow a local attacker to disclose information or execute arbitrary code.

Affected Versions:
Santesoft Sante DICOM Viewer Pro version 14.0.3 and prior.

QID Detection Logic (Authenticated):
This QID checks for vulnerable version of Santesoft Sante DICOM Viewer Pro by checking the fileversion of 'Sante DICOM Viewer Pro64.exe'. Please note that this QID will only detect installations done via an Installer.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow a local attacker to execute arbitrary code, leading to critical data loss or complete system compromise.
