QID 379554: IBM Spectrum Control Security Restrictions Bypass Vulnerability (7144617)

IBM Spectrum Protect provides automated, centrally scheduled, policy-managed backup, archive, and space-management capabilities for file servers.

Apache Derby might allow a remote attacker to bypass security restrictions caused by an LDAP injection vulnerability in the authenticator. This vulnerability affects IBM Spectrum Control. This bulletin identifies the steps to take to mitigate the vulnerability.

Affected Versions:
IBM Spectrum Protect all versions of 5.4
