QID 38892: Network Time Protocol NULL Pointer Dereference Vulnerability (ntp-4.2.8p13)

The Network Time Protocol (NTP) is used to synchronize the time of a computer client or server to another server or reference time source.

A crafted malicious authenticated mode 6 (ntpq) packet from a permitted network address can trigger a NULL pointer dereference, crashing ntpd.

Prior to 4.2.8p13.
