QID 50132: Exim Mail Server Multiple Security Vulnerabilities

Exim is a mail transfer agent (MTA) used on Unix-like operating systems. Exim is free software and it aims to be a general and flexible mailer with extensive facilities for checking incoming e-mail.

CVE-2023-42119: Exim is vulnerable to Out-Of-Bounds Read Information Disclosure Vulnerability.
CVE-2023-42117: Exim is vulnerable to Improper Neutralization of Special Elements Remote Code Execution Vulnerability.

Affected Versions:
Exim versions prior to 4.96.1

QID Detection Logic (Unauthenticated):
The QID checks for the SMTP banner to check for vulnerable versions of exim.

Successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities may allow remote attackers to disclose sensitive information or execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Exim.
