QID 570038

QID 570038: Discriminator Property Not Defined Properly

The discriminator keyword is a property that specifies the required data type name. It adds support for polymorphism. Analysis of swagger file resulted in detecting that the discriminator was not defined correctly. The discriminator must be defined at this schema, and it must be in the required property list. When used, the value must be the name of this schema or any schema that inherits it.

If discriminator is not defined properly it results in an error due to not being spec compliant.

Solution
Review the discriminator property. Make sure it is not missing a required mapping. For example:

paths: /users: post: tags: - new - existing definitions: Existing: discriminator: "id" type: object required: - "id"
