QID 670969: EulerOS Security Update for sssd (EulerOS-SA-2021-2675)

Provides a set of daemons to manage access to remote directories and authentication mechanisms. It provides an NSS and PAM interface toward the system and a plug-gable back-end system to connect to multiple different account sources. It is also the basis to provide client auditing and policy services for projects like FreeIPA. The sssd sub-package is a meta-package that contains the daemon as well as all the existing back ends. Security Fix(es): A flaw was found in SSSD, where the sssctl command was vulnerable to shell command injection via the logs-fetch and cache-expire subcommands. This flaw allows an attacker to trick the root user into running a specially crafted sssctl command, such as via sudo, to gain root access. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality, integrity, as well as system availability.(CVE-2021-3621)
Note: The preceding description block is extracted directly from the security advisory. Using automation, we have attempted to clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.

An arbitrary attacker may exploit this vulnerability to compromise the system.
