QID 671025: EulerOS Security Update for glibc (EulerOS-SA-2021-2660)

The glibc package contains standard libraries which are used by multiple programs on the system. In order to save disk space and memory, as well as to make upgrading easier, common system code is kept in one place and shared between programs. This particular package contains the most important sets of shared libraries: the standard C library and the standard math library. Without these two libraries, a Linux system will not function. Security Fix(es): A flaw was found in the GNU C library (glibc), where the sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/mq_notify.c function mishandles certain NOTIFY_REMOVED data, leading to a NULL pointer dereference. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability.(CVE-2021-38604) An integer overflow flaw was found in glibc that may result in reading of arbitrary memory when wordexp is used with a specially crafted untrusted regular expression input.(CVE-2021-35942)
Note: The preceding description block is extracted directly from the security advisory. Using automation, we have attempted to clean and format it as much as possible without introducing additional issues.

An arbitrary attacker may exploit this vulnerability to compromise the system.
