QID 730226: SonicWall Secure Mobile Access 100 series Unauthenticated Arbitrary File Delete Vulnerability (SNWLID-2021-0021)

SonicWall Secure Mobile Access (SMA) is a unified secure access gateway.

An improper access control vulnerability in SMA100 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to bypass the path traversal checks and delete an arbitrary file potentially resulting in a reboot to factory default settings.

Affected version:
SonicWall SMA100 9.0.0.10-28sv and earlier
SonicWall SMA100 10.2.0.7-34sv and earlier
SonicWall SMA100 10.2.1.0-17sv and earlier

QID Detection Logic (Unauthenticated):
This QID detects the vulnerable firmware version from Web interface.

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability may allow an attacker to check for the presence of a file on the webserver

CVSS V3 rated as Critical - 9.1 severity.

CVSS V2 rated as High - 6.4 severity.
