QID 730266: Drupal Core Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) Vulnerability (SA-CORE-2021-011)

Drupal is a free and open source content management framework written in PHP and distributed under the GNU General Public License.

An attacker that can create or edit content (even without access to CKEditor themselves) may be able to exploit one or more Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities to target users with access to the WYSIWYG CKEditor, including site admins with privileged access.

Affected Versions:
Drupal 8.9.x, prior to Drupal 8.9.20.
Drupal 9.1.x, prior to Drupal 9.1.14.
Drupal 9.2.x, prior to Drupal 9.2.9.

QID Detection Logic:
This QID checks for vulnerable version of Drupal installed on the target via a version based check.

Successful execution of these vulnerabilities may allow an attacker to exploit one or more Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities to target users with access to the WYSIWYG CKEditor, including site admins with privileged access.
