QID 730481: OpenTSDB Remote Code Execution (RCE) Vulnerability

OpenTSDB is a distributed, scalable Time Series Database (TSDB) written on top of HBase.

A remote code execution vulnerability occurs in OpenTSDB through 2.4.0 via command injection in the yrange parameter.

Affected Versions:
OpenTSDB versions prior to 2.4.1

QID Detection Logic:(Unauthenticated)
This QID checks for vulnerable OpenTSDB by sending a specially crafted payload and make a query that will trigger Qualys Periscope detection mechanism.
This QID also checks for vulnerable OpenTSDB version by sending GET request to "/api/version" endpoint.

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target system.
