QID 730690: Cisco IP Phone 7800 and 8800 Series Web Management Interface Authentication Bypass Vulnerability ( cisco-sa-ip-phone-auth-bypass-pSqxZRPR)

A vulnerability in the web-based management interface of Cisco IP Phone 7800 and 8800 Series Phones could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to bypass authentication on an affected device.

Affected Products
Cisco products if they were running a vulnerable release of Cisco IP Phone software:
IP Phone 7800 Series
IP Phone 8800 Series

QID Detection Logic(Unauthenticated):
The QID sends a get request on "CGI/Java/Serviceability?adapter=device.statistics.device" and checks for the vulnerable version in the response.

A successful exploit could allow the attacker to access certain parts of the web interface that would normally require authentication.

CVSS V3 rated as Critical - 8.6 severity.

CVSS V2 rated as Medium - 4.6 severity.
